I was thinking about what I could write about today and what came to my mind was to ask “Are you ok?” It seems that we are all caught up in our own worlds and we sometimes forget to check whether others are OK? We assume everyone is ok because we are all so caught up in our own world of issues, problems, and concerns.
Every day we are faced with so many challenges, adversities – one thing or another – some people more than others – sometimes, these everyday life issues can make us feel down, exhausted, and drained – can make us feel overwhelmed and stressed.
Stress can affect us in many ways – if we continue to be in stressful environments like workplace stress or home situation or family disharmony – it can affect us physically, mentally, and emotionally – and can manifest as pains, ailments as well as cancer, heart disease or other chronic health issues.
Here are 7 things to change your world
- Get off the merry-go-round
Take time off the situation – go away for a few days – you need to clear your head-space. While you are still in IT, you cannot see a solution. You need to move away
- Refocus on your life path
Start thinking about what is important to you. What would be the ideal situation for you? Write your goals and plans for the next 6-12 months.
- Check Your Finances
It is always good to recheck your financial state when you want to make changes to your life path – Can I afford not to work or to take a career change – Can I afford to live on one income, Check where you stand financially.
- Find your Passion
What are you passionate about? What would you love to do, IF you could do anything in life? Life is too short – Do what you love and Love what you Do.
- De-clutter and clean up
Always good to do a clean-up to declutter your environment. Just do one room at a time – clean up cupboards, get rid of things you haven’t used for some time – Once you declutter – your environment – you will start to think clearly and feel better.
- Surround yourself with positive like-minded people
It always feels good to be around positive people – it gives you a boost of positive energy. Negative people drain your energy and make you feel exhausted and weak.
- Have quiet times
Meditate daily – Meditation gives you clarity and focus and brings peace and calmness to your world. If you haven’t meditated – maybe you can join a local meditation program and learn basic meditation – I believe that ‘Meditation is the Best Medication!’
